Jihadists Identified In Washington

You increase taxes, we all meet Allah today!

Don’t be alarmed with my use of the formerly politically incorrect term “Jihadists”. The media has in fact revised their opinion of several words they once considered taboo.

That’s right. The leftist media has responded to widespread disappointment with Obama’s inability to once again steamroll his agenda right over top of public sentiment and our political processes by revising their opinions of terminology formerly considered inappropriate.

Words such as terrorist, jihad and Wahhabi (huh?), the use of which at one time was justification to label an individual racist or bigot, were freely tossed around in the press today with clearly no concern for offending anyone.

The nation’s news hounds crawled over top of each other to use their newly acceptable terminology to attack the Tea Party for having the audacity to participate and have a voice in their government.  

Bloomberg’s’ Margaret Carlson stated that the Tea Party had strapped explosives to the capitol and that they wanted the debt crisis that everyone ignored despite everyone knowing it was coming. Peter Goodman, Huffington Post Business Editor said, “They’re acting like terrorists”. Some nutcase at MSNBC whose name is not worth mentioning gave a colorful narrative of the Tea Party standing in Time Square wearing an explosive belt and threatening the nation. Tom Friedman of the New York Times compared fiscal conservatives to Hezbollah. New Your Times Columnist Paul Krugman said the Tea Party “wants to blow up the economy”. My buddy Chris Mathews sent a tingle through my leg, up my spine and right into the idiocy receptors in my brain when he said, “The GOP has become the Wahhabis of American government”. CNN anchor Fareed Zakaria said the Tea Party “wants to blow up the country”. Tina Brown, Editor in Chief at Newsweek called the Tea Party “suicide bombers”. William Yeomans, an American University Law Professor writing for Politico said the Tea Party had made the transition from “hostage takers to full-blown terrorists”. And to top off all the terrorist rhetoric, last night Congressman Mike Doyle of Pennsylvania compared the Tea Party to terrorists AND no less than our vice president Joe Biden agreed with the assessment.

It’s an astounding list of accusations from a group usually repulsed by such hateful claims…at least when the claims are accurate as opposed to purely rhetorical. So I suppose we should give everyone a pass due to the fact that it’s all just political rhetoric. But aren’t these kinds of dangerous and inflammatory statements the very type of boisterous rhetoric of which the president recently asked to nation to “tone down”? Didn’t the president’s plea to tone down the rhetoric come as a result of the attack that made the debt ceiling vote the first one attended by Congresswoman Gabby Gifford in several months?

At least the political left is consistent in being inconsistent. And as for anyone considering taking an active part in our Democracy; Know this, if your views are not spoon fed to you by the new Media branch of the federal government, you’re a big fat terrorist. I’m betting you also have cooties.

Debt Ceiling Crisis Over…NEXT!

It’s been incredibly frustrating to me to watch the events surrounding the debt ceiling increase unfold with increased federal revenue seemingly Obama’s one and only reason for involvement in the debate. Incredibly, this seemingly nonsensical demand of a piece of legislation billed as a means by which to cut federal spending has been questioned by no one! Not once has the president been asked to give an account of what he intends to do with the hundreds of billions or even trillions in additional revenue he demanded nearly to the end. I find this unacceptable and a sign of widespread incompetence in Washington; as if you needed further proof. This entire issue could have been long forgotten by now had someone, anyone had the presence of mind to question and publicize the president’s motives and publicly delegitimize his demands.

Now that we’ve run out of time for any hopeful second termer to continue playing political games, Obama seems willing to sign a deal without the tax increases. For the time being at least we can breathe easy knowing that Obama has once again saved the world from economic collapse and this time it’s not going to cost Obama’s “enemies” further economic stress.

Make no mistake America, Obama’s objectives in “solving the debt ceiling crisis” had nothing to do with the nation’s debt ceiling and it doesn’t appear they will be met by the bill that will raise the debt ceiling. Therefore, the “crisis” is not over. It will continue into September’s appropriations proceedings where the American people will be threatened with government shutdown all over again, and on and on until Obama either has the “federal revenue” he needs to move his massively expensive agenda forward in his second term, or America is spared a second term of Obamanomics.

Obama is speaking as I type, giving his take on the agreement that will be voted on tomorrow and telling us all “this is not over” and he still believes “the wealthy need to pay their fair share”. He stated he would continue to try to convince lawmakers that his “balanced” approach, ie: increased taxes, is necessary.

This isn’t over by a long shot. It won’t be over while Obama is in office as long as a single American is in possession of money Obama thinks he can make better use of.

That Was Only Healthcare, This Is E-Verify

In a news conference last week president Obama refused to give a direct
response to a simple question. On its own this is a nonissue as we’ve come to
expect this kind of response from “Every Man’s President”. During the press
conference Antonieta Cádiz with La Opiniόn asked the president if he
would veto a clean E-Verify bill that did not grant amnesty to undocumented

is intriguing and worth a blog article on its own. However, the real story as I see it can be found on the three minute forty second video which can also be viewed at the above link.

Two minutes and seven seconds into the video Obama says, “E-verify can be an
important enforcement tool…what I don’t want is a situation in which employers are forced to set up a system that they can’t be certain works.”

I hope you caught that. The same man responsible for forcing a massively
expensive socialist healthcare overhaul on a nation drowning in economic
uncertainty is suddenly concerned with possibly inconveniencing American
citizens and businesses with an unproven system. Is there truly no end to the direct contradictions and hypocrisy with this man!? The administration’s 2000 plus page healthcare bill which neither the president nor a single lawmaker took the time to read, was in fact forced on the nation with no guarantee it would benefit anyone. In the words of the president himself, “employers are forced to set up a system that they can’t be certain works.”

E-VERIFY VS OBAMACARE

In the case of E-Verify, the president cites employers not being allowed to
hire legal Americans that the system may incorrectly flag as illegal and that
legal citizens may be deported as examples of the system not working. While
either of these outcomes would be unacceptable, I’ve got to think there could be
other safeguards implemented that would prevent the president’s worst case
scenarios. Fed safeguard number one: Take a look at your track record on
efficiency and success and then hand the entire concept over to the free market
to design and operate a system that works. If they were to do that they might
even inadvertently create a real job or two.

In the case of Obamacare the president will not acknowledge the potential for
failure. Despite countless examples of the federal government failing where the
private sector prospers, the nation was forced to accept Obama and Democrat
lawmaker’s claims that this time and with a plan no one fully understands they
can make it work. No one can convincingly illustrate how Obamacare will benefit the vast majority of Americans. No one can guarantee this plan will work. No one knows exactly what effects socialized healthcare will have on our Democracy. There exists no example in history of this type of system reducing healthcare costs without sacrificing quality of care, standard of living or both.

With all these unknowns and the fact that no man or woman on Earth fully
understands how Obamacare will operate, it would appear that Obamacare dwarfs the E-Verify issue in regard to uncertainty. This very real uncertainty toward the future created by Obama’s anti-job/anti-corporate/anti-industry policies including Obamacare is in fact one of the major impediments to economic recovery.

The uncertainty over Obamacare is having a crippling effect on the entire
nation as well as the world. The risks to the nation of making E-Verify ONE of
the tools used to control illegal immigration are non-existent by comparison.

It seems as if nearly every stance Obama takes on any given issue contradicts
a stance he has taken on another issue. As entertaining as Obama is with his
incessant double talk, direct contradictions and simplistic reasoning apparently
meant to convince the high school dropout segment of his base, I am more anxious to have this man out of the Whitehouse than I have been toward any elected official since I cast my first vote at age 18.

Call me kooky but I feel a revision back to the failed Euro-socialist
concepts the first Americans sought to escape would render everything since the founding of Jamestown in 1607 pointless.

Obama: The Sky Is Falling…Again

Obama has officially thrown his hat into the debt ceiling ring with what else; a new round of threats of doom and gloom if he doesn’t get his way.

The most recent bag of Obama’s scare tactics includes:

• ·         Threats of kids not receiving college scholarships
• ·         Funding to the National Weather Service possibly compromised
• ·         Funding for critical medical research possibly ending
• ·         Food inspections may be compromised

This is starting to become an expected response each time there is concern that Obama may not get the money he’s asking for and that his agenda so desperately needs. Who can forget the post-apocalyptic images the president conjured up with his claims that economic armageddon was a few days away if he didn’t get his $787 billion stimulus? In that instance, Obama did such a great job of scaring America into giving him what he wanted that rather than signing the legislation as soon as possible so as to fend off the collapse, Obama ran out to celebrate his victory with a 3-day weekend leaving the economic world hanging in the balance. Of course after that we were faced with threats of a bankrupt America if a trillion dollar healthcare plan were not passed, just before Obama was forced to buy the votes needed to force the legislation on a clearly unwilling public. Oh, and we can’t forget the economic collapses that were warned of in convincing America that the auto-makers and banks needed to be bailed out.

I’m sure I’ve missed a few but honestly the more I consider each of these attacks on America’s intelligence the more it irritates me. Obama’s entire agenda relies first upon the majority of the country being politically ignorant and too lazy to fact check his claims. And secondly, the same scare tactics used and promoted by the likes of all the most successful dictators.

The real scare here is that Obama’s disregard for American taxpayers in the midst of his failed economy is likely due to plans to roll out additional expensive pet projects if given another term. This country can’t afford Obama if he were to resign tomorrow. I doubt America would even be recognizable after 8 years of this Euro-socialist spending orgy. 

Obama’s Billion Dollar Circus

The Obama campaign machine is shifting into full “win em back” mode with a closed-door push for donor recruitment. The administration is putting special emphasis on winning back big-dollar donors who have been disappointed with the “change” their 2008 donations bought them. Of course the administration in getting this several month head start on campaigning as opposed to past campaigns is doing plenty to milk the general public of whatever spare change they have left in Obama’s economy. And they’re going about it in some interesting ways.

HURRY HURRY, STEP RIGHT UP!

In one attempt to suck $5/schlep from the suffering US taxpayers, Obama’s campaign has devised a raffle of sorts where each $5 donor wins a chance at having dinner
with the president. In a video seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idN06LgizUw&feature=player_embedded that was created in the president’s
tax payer funded living space in the White House, the president makes “a big
announcement about the contest”. Apparently your $5 could now win you a
dinner with “Barak and Joe”. This is the cheapest, nastiest, most classless act
we’ve seen from this administration since Mrs. Obama hosted her Chicago ghetto
thug rapper friend at a White House poetry event. However, beyond the obvious
idiocy of this lottery for the still hopeful and broke, it’s quite possible this tasteless scheme is illegal. Regulations prohibit anyone, including sitting presidents from generating campaign funds on federal property. Of course the administration is currently attempting to make a distinction between the federally funded White House and the sitting president’s living space. This is even worse than the Clinton era Lincoln bedroom scandal. Unlike Clinton’s tasteless fundraising technique Obama is making a point to milk the poor and middle-class in hopes of generating millions of $5 dollar donations from people he’s done little to help in his two years in office. Well, nothing aside from trading endless federal handouts for our jobs.

Obama campaign officials report that so far they’ve generated far more small donations than they had by this same stage in the 2008 campaign. Personally I see the higher number of smaller donors a direct effect of there being a much higher number of Americans who cannot afford to be big donors.

EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK

The White House is not stopping with the dream date with Barak and Joe raffle. In fact that whole scheme is but an attempt to make a big pile of small potatoes. For the
“more distinguished” donor, Obama is offering access to top administration
officials from White House Chief of Staff William M. Daley to the White House
chef.

Daley is reported to have spent the past several weeks in dinners and breakfast meetings with Wall Street and business leaders in frantic attempts to smooth over the
ruffled feathers of high roller 2008 donors who feel they were snubbed by the
president after Obama got their money.

Of course, who could blame them? Many of these big donors have taken huge financial hits due to Obama’s anti-corporate/anti-industry/anti-job policies and regulations.
Many others, as in the case of the banking executives and Wall Street financiers, were specifically demonized by the administration for the financial collapse as well as their actions after receiving federal bailout money.

EVERYONE’S A WINNER

From gay rights groups angered by Obama’s broken campaign promises regarding gay
marriage and what they see as inadequate funding for aids research and treatment, to Jewish groups upset with Obama’s disrespectful treatment of Benjamin Netanyahu and clearly uneducated approach to Middle Eastern policy, to the Wall Street big wigs to the poor drones still waiting for Obama to pay their bills. Obama’s White House promises free access to his administration for anyone willing to pay and in the case of most of us, if we’re lucky enough to win that one chance to be heard.

IF YOU’RE STILL COUNTING YOUR CHANGE
YOU MISSED THE BUS

The hypocrisy of Obama and his administration, though something we’ve come to
expect, continues to reach new lows. After campaigning in 2008 on “change” and free
access of the people to their government, specifically railing against big money buying influence in Washington, we now see that was all simply “campaign talk”. It’s quite clear at this point that virtually everything Obama said while campaigning is subject to and will change based on the opinion of the crowd he’s currently reading to.

A Marist poll out today has America’s disapproval of Obama’s handling of the economy at a record 58%. America is waking up to the fact that the Euro-socialist utopian dream is unsustainable. The images of the far left “cradle to grave” entitlement supporters in Greece burning their country to the ground as handouts from the bankrupt government dry up provide a frightening glimpse of one result of Obama’s brand of “change”. Obama’s solution to waging a successful campaign despite his dismal record is to simply out campaign any and all opposition. Despite White House officials’ recent attempts to play down speculation that the administration will spend over a billion dollars to keep their grip on the steering wheel for an additional four years, the campaign is hoping to have raised at least $60 million by this Thursday and admits they will spend in excess of $745 million. So what’s another $255 million to a man with 300,000,000 people picking up all his bills?

There’s little doubt now that Obama’s brand of change was nothing more than a heavy
handed socialist agenda to be forced on a nation he considered to be “arrogant” and in dire need of “fundamental change”. The only  question remaining on the Obama mistake is will America be so naïve as to make it twice.

TSA Horrors Continue Unchecked

You know, I’ve made several attempts to start this article but am having a great deal of difficulty arranging my thoughts in a coherent manner as there are so many disturbing issues to address. At any rate, here are the facts.

A 95-year-old woman in the final stage of her battle with Leukemia was detained and extensively searched by our heroes in the TSA for 45 minutes on Saturday, June 18. Jean Weber, the victim’s daughter, has filed a complaint with the Department of Homeland Security over the treatment of her dying mother. Weber and her mother were attempting to fly to Michigan in order to be with family during what is considered the mother’s last days. Weber’s mother, who has only been identified as Jean Weber’s mother, is confined to a wheel chair as she is weak and can barely stand on her own.  

Jean Weber claims that her mother was initially wheeled into an area behind a glass partition and was patted down. After the initial pat down, Weber claims her mother was taken into a private room in which TSA agents performed an extensive search. At some point during the 45 minute detention, agents came out and informed Jean that she needed to go in to remove the adult diaper her mother was wearing as it had become soiled and was impeding their search. Weber said that after she had taken her mother into the bathroom to change the diaper she began to cry. Weber claims she was then also detained and searched as agents interpreted her crying as “unusual behavior”.  

A spokeswoman for the TSA Sari Koshetz could not comment on specifics of the case due to concern for the privacy of their victims. Koshetz did however explain that wheelchairs trigger special protocols for agents including pat-downs and swabbing for explosives.

Weber stated that in response to her complaint Homeland Security had told her that TSA had followed proper procedure in detaining her mother. Understandably disappointed with DHS’s response, Weber who stated that proper procedures “need to be changed” has vowed to file additional complaints this week.

Ok, so if your head has not already exploded over this atrocity here’s my take.

I take issue with TSA’s “proper procedure” being to detain EVERYONE in a wheel chair. I understand that a wheelchair presents some challenges in that it’s composed of steel and is a potential hiding place. However, assholes Burkas and turbans are also potential hiding places. Though all flying assholes may soon receive a TSA probing, our federal government has gone out of its way to reassure all Burka and turban wearers that they are the last individuals security authorities are concerned with. The feds have backed up their assurances of special treatment to Muzzies by terrifying our children, feeling up and molesting young women and girls, confiscating toys from children and the mentally handicapped and detaining and disrespecting the elderly and critically ill, the TSA makes no exceptions for anyone, regardless how loudly common sense screams out to do so. For instance, after their contemptuous treatment of a dying old woman results in her soiling herself.  

Obviously this type of treatment of anyone is reprehensible but is it not also profiling the handicapped? Or is this some twisted, pseudo profiling affirmative action nonsense? Has the compassion we once had for the handicapped been trumped by a more fashionable victim? Have we given up all the best parking spaces, made the entire country handicap accessible and created entire industries dedicated to helping the handicapped and elderly, only to now throw them to the TSA wolves while those exhibiting the most common denominators among terrorists are intentionally overlooked in the interest of political correctness? Should all wheelchair users who intend to fly expect delays that could easily lead to missed flights? If not, how do the agents determine which wheelchair ridden passengers to interrogate? If the agent’s discretion is a factor in determining who gets detained, where does a 95-year-old 105 pound dying woman rate as far as risk factor?

This woman was born in 1916 during the height of WWI. She came of age during the depression and was a young woman during WWII. Though the report does not state as much, it’s statistically more likely than not that she contributed to the Allied war effort. She’s seen more of mankind’s advancement in her lifetime than all but a precious few still living. She watched our nation mature and prosper and in the end our ridiculously politically correct system treated her like a prison inmate.

This so pisses me off that words fit for publication escape me. I’d like to know what the hell happened to the threats of several major airports that they would kick the feds out of their facilities and hire private security if the searches didn’t become more customer friendly. The personal violations remain yet all talk of privatized security has literally vanished.

Oops, they did it again: More of the same from our “unbiased” media

In what I’m sure was another honest mistake on the part of the incredibly unbiased producers at NBC, the words, “under God” were “accidently” omitted from the recital of the Pledge of Allegiance prior to their US Open coverage.

It’s amazing to me to see this type of thing over and over again. Then in response, as if we were dealing with some guilty child, we get a “sorry about that” or “we didn’t mean to”. Fortunately the pledge was not entirely butchered as these were the only two words omitted, though I’m sure you could have figured that out on your own. I understand that no one is perfect but it’s no secret that the mainstream media seeks to censor all public references to Christianity while carefully coddling all other faiths. It becomes increasingly clear with each of these little “mistakes”. Such was the case just last week when ABC and NBC refused to utter the word Muslim when reporting on a Muslim man arrested at a national monument with bomb making materials and a notebook containing pro-Muzzie terrorist/anti-American scribbling. Though many refuse to admit the obvious, it’s clear that there is a segment of the American population who hold our nation’s heritage in contempt. These are the same ilk who would like to have the second amendment as well as a great deal of the first amendment repealed. Leading the charge against traditional American values and the truth about our roots is the mainstream media.

How long until these desperate hacks figure out that their spiraling ratings are directly tied to their miserable content? I have a dog capable of learning from his mistakes far more quickly than these fools. And BTW, he does need a job.

Obama’s Immigration Policy: Even when he’s right he gets it wrong

 

“Here illegally? No problem. Behave and give me your vote and we’ll call it good.”

Even when Obama gets something right he screws it up. In a political offering, just in time for the campaign season, the Obama administration intends to cut the number of illegal aliens the US is currently deporting in half.

Reacting to immigrant-rights groups who oppose the deportation program known as Secure Communities, the administration has announced that their intent is to limit deportations to those who have prior criminal convictions on their records. The administration which hit a national record of 392,863 deportations in 2010, says that criminals currently make up about half of all those deported.

EDIT: Looking through some of my older posts tonight I came across this erroneous claim regarding the number of deportations the current administration has taken credit for.

As I’m sure most by now know, these numbers include those turned away at border crossings for failure to produce the proper documentation to gain entrance into the country, a fact that TOTALLY debunks the administration’s claims of having deported more illegal invaders than any previous administration.

As being accurate and retaining my credibility are important to me, I felt it necessary to make this correction.

They’re calling for a full moratorium on the Secure Communities program.

My problem with the opposition to sovereign American borders, in this case the immigrant-rights groups and the New York Immigration Coalition, is that we’re talking about ILLEGAL immigration here not immigration in general. However, one would assume these organizations are concerned with the legal variety of immigration. Otherwise, are they not criminal enterprises? 

This is the same tired old diversionary technique they’ve used forever. Rather than engage in constructive discourse on the issue at hand they convolute the issue to include ALL immigration thus in their simplistic minds opening the door for claims of racism and bigotry all of which is intended to divert attention away from the original issue of our borders being breached.   

The Global Warming Show

Once again it seems the global warming alarmists are cooking their own books so as to produce data supporting their claims of impending global doom due to manmade warming.

Researchers at the University of Colorado’s Sea Level Research Group in May of this year apparently decided all of a sudden to add 0.3mm every year to their sea level data. Facing accusations of manufacturing data the group’s director Steve Nerem stated that the addition was in response to the fact that the earth’s land masses are constantly growing upward. Nerem explains that the correction is “a nonissue and certainly not newsworthy…” as it will only amount to a one inch increase in sea level over 100 years.

Oh, only an inch/100 years. That’s not so much now is it? The only problem is that the IPCC claims that the sea level has only risen by 1.0-2.5mm/year or about 4-9 inches over the past 100 years. Other sources estimates fall somewhere inside the 4-9 inches/year. Either way the Colorado research group’s addition of 0.3mm will by itself amount to an increase 10-25% conservatively.

Does anyone believe the global warming alarmists are going to simply overlook a 10-25% change in anything?

From Al Gore’s now debunked hockey stick fraud to the hacked IPCC emails implicating literally dozens of the world’s best and brightest “unbiased” minds in fabricating information in their findings. This whole thing is getting pretty pathetic. I’ve noticed just this week that the “global cooling” alarmists are starting to gain more traction with their claims as the warming scare starts to lose its credibility. Of course, this is a routine we’ve seen in the past as well. I wonder how many global warming champions know that had we listened to many of the so-called experts on the cooling scare we may have covered the polar ice caps with soot or detonated nukes in an attempt to fend off the new ice age.

It’s clear that the earth’s climate does change. It’s also quite clear that climate experts are dealing with a hell of a lot of variables, many of which such as sun spot activity and other cosmic influences that they admittedly don’t fully understand. The experts cannot tell us what we can do to reverse warming and quite frankly, have not proven that reversing a warming phase would be beneficial.

I’m all for respecting the environment and keeping the air and water clean. But don’t tell me that your high dollar squiggly light bulbs or my eating foods that produce less flatulence are going to save the earth.

The United States and truly the world as a whole face some very serious tangible issues. Until conclusive evidence of manmade warming AND a proven remedy can be produced by a credible source, this entire issue is a waste of desperately needed resources.

Network News: Prepackaged for optimal PC spin

In yet another move that takes political correctness to the level of utter ignorance, ABC news goes out of its way to not mention that a man arrested with bomb making material was a Muslim.

Marine Lance Corporal Yonathan Melaku was arrested around 2am today by military police at Arlington National Cemetery. The police report that their initial attempt to confront Melaku resulted in his attempting to flee. After giving chase on foot, the police caught Melaku and discovered that his backpack contained four bags of a common bomb making material ammonium nitrate, along with spent 9mm cartridges and a notebook with the words “Taliban rules,” “mujahidin” and “defeated coalition forces.”

In reporting the story, Diane Sawyer and Pierre Thomas called Melaku everything but a Muslim. Sawyer referred to Melaku as “a 22-year old Marine Lance Corporal”, while Pierre referred to Melaku as “suspect”, “Marine reservist”, “a 22-year old Ethiopian American”, and “a lone wolf”. Not once in the ABC report was the word Muslim uttered.

The same was true at NBC where Brian Williams blazed past the issue with a brief mention of the actions of “a Marine reservist”. In a move that ABC and NBC would likely have rather taken had it not been for credibility issues, CBS simply didn’t report the story at all.

How many Muslim terrorists must we intercept and how many victims to successful Muslim terror attacks are necessary before the politically correct zombies will wake up and call a spade a spade? The leftist media never has an issue using “Christian” as a descriptive term. They clearly have no issues with referring to a “suspect’s” military rank and status. However, in much the same way as the term “illegal immigrant” is selectively left out of so many applicable news reports, the media refuse to mention the word “Muslim” in reporting terror attacks. The hard cold facts are that Islam is a remarkably common denominator in these attacks. All the disingenuous reporting in the world will not change that fact.

It’s embarrassing to watch the media intentionally omit information in an attempt to give the news a tint they find appealing.

It’s even more embarrassing that some of these same hacks have the nerve to take issue with the journalistic integrity of news sources that do report ALL the facts.
